so apparently EA is putting out a new drm style system in there online games, you will be required to put the original cd in the drive and cd key in every ten days on some of their new games... mass effect, spores, and a few others...

What do you mean, DRM? Is there like an news article to go along with this or something?

drm stands for digital rights managment. its a way of making sure you paid for what you have... in the game essence its a way of making sure you didn't download the game because you have to use the cdkey to reauthorize every 10 days.. one game registered to one cd key... if more than one person use the same cdkey then the ones after the first one will be disabled.

Oh..So, if I have a cd key crack, it wouldn't work after 10 days? This doesn't effect me too much, but I have a friend who pirates a bunch of computer games and shit.
