I used to be a hardcore gamer. I know myself with out any test to know I am no longer one. Basically the games got me making websites on them. This stopped game play itself.

lol Well some of it applies to me. I know I'm not a hardcore gamer anymore because there's more to life than games. However, I fucking love getting together with a friend and playing the shit outta games. It's my favourite thing to do with friends. Me and my buddy Joe would play Halo online together all the time.

But when I'm sitting here by myself I tend to just read or watch movies or write.

As you get older, you don't get the time you want to play games. Plus different living expenses and such. I am behind on a lot of games but I'm an old school gamer. Been playing since before I knew how.

The thing about online games is that it seems everyone there has been playing it for years and years or if it is new at least 8 hours a day since it came out. I'm posting now because my internet is effed up and I'll edit when normality is restored.

Okay, then if you aren't a pro at it, they start in on you with horrible grammar. I still like lots of online games. I just don't have my PS2 online, nor do I actually have more than a few games (actually pretty much just Timesplitters) that I could play online. It's mainly computer, and I can't play newer games (that's everything after 2003 or so) because of my RAM, and I don't know what else I'd need to upgrade. Anyway, I actually find I have nothing to say about hardcore gaming.

Edit 2: I've been playing since I was 3 or 4, mainly SNES then, then I got into PS1. Then about 5 years later I got a PS2, and I haven't upgraded to the newer generation of consoles yet except for PSP.

Yeah we've been playing almost the same amount of time. I used to press buttons when I was just a baby but I didn't know how to play. Still count that as playing though.

I'm not bad at games but I can see my skill diminishing. I am really old school in the sense that I prefer splitscreen co-op over pretty much anything. Give me a good FPS or third person shooter, or even a hack-n-slash RPG like Baldurs Gate (on console) and a friend and I'm really happy. Nothing beats sitting right beside the person looking at each other's screen to see how you can help and such. Love it.

So it's sad for me because splitscreen co-op isn't a big seller so I don't get as many as I want. But Army of Two, Gears of War, Kane & Lynch, every Conflict game, etc keeps me going.

My post was meant for knox.

ya, its not games like those rpgs that my skill is dimminishing in... i spent probably the last 5 years playing world of warcraft and games that don't really require much skill to play its more knowledge than skill really... so 5 years of not playing a first person shooter my skills have gone down the crapper... this is what is depressing me.
